Project-02 offers the opportunity for responsible institutional investors to invest in a real asset that is economically attractive and sustainable, that combats climate change and generates social returns, and that is provided by a company with a proven track record in delivering high value Colombian Teak plantations.
Consistent best-in-class approach
As per Project-01, revenue will be maximised through the adoption of best practices with rigorous due diligence, detailed quality controls and FSC certification will be the goal.
Appropriate and measurable criteria and standards.
Identification of quality sites and optimal land use planning.
Use of best genetic planting material from best-in-class clonal materials from our nurseries.
Country management in place for tight on-the-ground execution by Scellec Caribe and supervision by Scellec Caribe where we use contractors.

Highlights
The company has completed extensive due diligence on the region and has identified appropriate and attractive land sources.
The project will acquire grassland and farmland to establish new teak plantations in the Caribbean region of Colombia that meet the highest technical and FSC standards.
The project offers an attractive IRR, inflation protection and diversification.
The project is lead by a world-class senior management team with extensive project management, corporate and project finance, and teak forestry expertise.
The project will have a positive environmental and social impact - through CO2 sequestration which is ten times (10x) that of existing natural forests; investment in local employment; and support for education programmes for the local community in partnership with the University of Santa Tomas, Bogota.
